John 8:1-12 (woman caught in adultry)

NOTE: I did these 11 verses apart since they are considered by most to have been added and not John's authorship. However the authority of the cannon should be considered when commenting on this spurious material. A lot of images in the google section. The fitting of this into the text is argued but Sir Edywn Hoskyns p.571, hits the point with it being about judgment and the validity of the Pharisees as witnesses (Brown). The issue of canonical Scripture can and is viewed from tradition as Jerome accepted it for the Vulgate and  the Byzantine manuscript was the received text for the King James.

And Jesus went into the high hill of Olives. The word means mountain or high hill. I guess a mount is a small mountain? The Mount of Olives as it is called today and by tradition is not very high certainly not a mountain. The use of the deponent verb, eporeuthe, has kind of a pointless for him to stay at the feast?
And at dawn - early in the morning - he came into the temple and all the people came to him, and sitting down he taught them.
και στησαντες αυτην ἐν μέσῳ And the scribes and Pharisees brought in a woman having been taken in adultery and stood her in the midst.
They said to him () teacher this woman was caught in the act of adultery.
λιθαζειν· συ δε νυν τι λεγεις; And Moses in the law commanded that such one to be stoned. What do you say? Interesting dilemma for Christ. Tradition has it that the Sanhedrim had lost its authority to take a persons life, this is in clear Johannine Gospel writings (arrest and punishment of Christ) by the Romans. If Christ lets her go, he breaks the Mosaic Law. If he finds her guilty he breaks the Roman Law.(Brown)
(addition ) And Jesus stooping down with the finger wrote in the earth.
And they continued questioning him, he stood up and said to them, "the one of you innocent first throw the stone on her.
And again he stooped down with the finger he wrote in the earth.
And those having heard went out one by one, beginning from the elder and left only the woman in the midst.
10 ανακυψας δε οιησους ειπεν τη γυναικει· που εισιν; ουδεις σε κατεκρεινεν; ἡ γυνή, ποῦ εἰσίν ἐκεῖνοι οἱκατήγοροί σου; οὐδείς σε κατέκρινεν;
And Jesus standing up said to her, "Woman, were are they? Is no one judges you?
And she said, "No one Lord." And Jesus said, "Neither I judge you, go from now and sin no more."
