John 1:35-42 Translation

Translation:
35. Again the next day (literally, tomorrow) , John was standing and with his two disciples;
 Brown indicates that John was probably waiting for Jesus. The verb means he was present.
36. He was looking at (watching) Jesus walking, he said, "Behold the Lamb of God!
The verb emplepein means to fix ones gaze on an object. Used again in vs. 42 - twice only in John)
37. And the two disciples heard him speaking and they followed Jesus.
The construction is interesting here. akouo and the present active participle of laleo  and autou. Laleo is in the genitive to agree with autou. I am thinking that akouo takes the genitve for the direct object, but I am still looking.
38. And Jesus turning then seeing them following said to them; What do you desire? And they said to him, Rabbi, which to be translated "teacher", where are you staying?
39. He said to them; "Come and see". They came and saw where he was living, and stayed with him that day, It was the 10th hour. The 10th hour was about 4 o'clock.
40.It was Andrew, who is brother of Simon Peter, one of the two having heard from John and followed him.
Quiz, can you name the people in Peter's family and where he lived?
41. He found first (his) own brother Simon and says to him, we have found the Messiah which is being interpreted the Christ. Interesting verse in that we have a variant reading. In your NA27th it will show right before proton. Some manuscripts but not the famous aleph family have "early in the morning". The call to Andrew and Peter to become "fishers of men" happened in Mark 1. There is another variant reading concerning the "pros" but it is weakly  contested to. The word "Messiah" is actually used here. IT is an Aramaic word and that is why it is "being translated Christos?
42. And he brought him to Jesus. Jesus looked at him and said, "You are Simon son of John. You will be called Cephas". which is to be translated Peter. Notice here also the word is from the Aramaic.
